What Is Change?

What is Change
Cents left over from a purchase? Is change something that evolves and can be measured? We are all chameleons, and our personalities change. I’d like to think that some things never change like the voice of forest water running in the night, the crisp hard rattle and popping of fresh raked graves on a farm road, the crickets sound in the meadow at dusk, the delicate innocent voice’s of children, the sounds of laughter that is a universal language without words and I am sure you can finish the list. Our days are like a kaleidoscope—they change every instant. New harmonies, new combinations, new contrasts of every sort are abound. Nothing ever happens twice alike. None of us know when the next change might be, what unexpected opportunity is just around the corner. Webster’s defines change as: to become different, to alter, vary, to undergo alteration or replace. Change can be also a painful process in relationships and romance. We are all too familiar with those. Since changes are going on any way, the best thing is to learn enough about them so that we will be able to grasp them and try and turn them into the direction of our desires. Can we do this? Sometimes, and at others, probably not.

Ever ponder that God is immutable? Immutability meaning; that which does not change. It is one attribute which distinguishes God from all His creatures and all His creation. God is perpetually the same; not subject to change in His being. His attributes or His purposes. Because God has no beginning and no ending. He can know no change. Let’s look at some “bible verses” that support these facts. James 1:17 says that God is everlasting who "does not change like shifting shadows", He does not change! God is immutable in His attributes, the qualities that make up His very being. He is "Semper idem", always the same. Isn’t that comforting? Indeed. His Word is “forever settled in heaven” Psalm 119:89. God is immutable in His essence; His nature and being are infinite and not subject to any mutations. God has "Neither" evolved, grown, nor improved. “I the Lord do not change”. Malachi 3:6 God is immutable in His counsel. The “gospel” is clear: “The counsel of the Lord standeth forever”. Psalm 33:11 More? Read Isaiah 46:10
Bottom Line

Where is God? He is right by your side, completely trustworthy. His intentions never change. Never!
