The Biggest Hanging of All

Hanging
Biggest Hanging of All
Hanging is as old as history. Man has been hanging his fellow man for centuries. It’s a common form of punishment and execution. Kings have hanged kings, rulers hang traitors, even some suicides are by hanging. In Genesis 20, Pharaoh hanged his chief baker. In Joshua chapter 8, the King of Ai was hanged on a tree. In chapter 10, Joshua hanged five great kings. In 2 Samuel 17, Ahithopel, a wise man hanged himself. In Ester 7 and 9, a man named Haman and his ten sons were hanged for a single offense. The day Christ was crucified; there were two thieves who were hung on a cross with nails. Probably the biggest hanging of all was recorded in the book of Job. The writer records in Job 27 that, “He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth on nothing.” God made the earth out of nothing and then God hung it upon nothing!
